Gov. Bryant delays opening of state offices because of winter weather

JACKSON – Gov. Phil Bryant will delay the opening of state offices until 10 a.m. Tuesday in the Jackson metro area due to winter weather and potentially hazardous road conditions. Yesterday, Gov. Bryant gave agency heads the discretion to delay openings of state offices south of I-20 due to potential impacts of winter weather in those areas. Agency heads were also granted the discretion to remain closed Tuesday if weather conditions further deteriorated. Agency heads should notify any key personnel who need to report to work prior to 10 a.m.
