CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

The NASCAR Media Tour hosted by Charlotte Motor Speedway kicked off today with a team that made big news all last season.

Stewart-Haas Racing took center stage today and the first order of business was the health of Tony Stewart.

Smoke missed the final 15 races last season due to a broken leg that he sustain in August while racing sprint cars in Iowa.

"We're getting our agility back, we're getting strength back, and with that it's giving us more confidence and that's something I will need in 18 days," said Stewart.

Stewart fully expects to be ready to go by the Sprint Unlimited Race in Daytona on February 15th and most definitely be ready by the Daytona 500 on February 23rd.

"I think the hard part is over," said the 3 time Cup Champ.  "Still we've got to work hard, but we've got thru the hardest part now."

Thanks to a driver shuffle at SHR, Danica Patrick is the 2nd most tenured driver at the company and she is only in her 3rd year at SHR.

One of the new drivers at Stewart-Haas Racing is Kurt Busch.  He will drive the #41 Chevy this season after racing for Furniture Row Racing in 2013.

After driving for his entire career at Richard Childress Racing, Kevin Harvick comes over to SHR to drive the #4 Chevy.

That's 4 drivers with 4 strong personalities, but the drivers don't see that as a problem.

"I think the greatest thing about the dynamic that we have is the respect that each other has for the things they've done in each others racing career," said Harvick.  "You have to have somebody to push you and that's the great thing about what we have going on is that everybody is going to push the other to be better."
