NASHVILLE, TN (RNN) - Despite an unusually low scoring night from their big-time players, the Ole Miss Rebels defeated the Vanderbilt Commodores 63-52 Wednesday night.

Ole Miss (13-5, 4-1 SEC) controlled the game throughout the first half and led by nine entering halftime. Vanderbilt (9-8, 1-4 SEC) could not keep up, even though Ole Miss shot a dismal 36.2 percent from the floor and 33.3 percent from downtown.

The Rebels' 3-point shot production was slowed by guard Marshall Henderson having an off night, going three of 10 from 3-point range. Guard Jarvis Summers was the Rebels' leading scorer with 16 points.

Forward Rod Odom led the Commodores with 18 points, with Damian Jones adding 14 points and snatching down 10 rebounds in the game. Vanderbilt shot 52.9 percent from the free throw line but made on 15 percent of its 3-pointers and shot 37.7 percent of its field goal shots.

Vanderbilt's next game will be on the road against the Texas A&M Aggies on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET. Ole Miss will host in-state rival Mississippi State Bulldogs on Saturday at 4 p.m. ET.
