Marion County Narcotics Task Force busted what appeared to be a hand to hand drug transaction Friday near Hwy 98 West and New Hope-Kokomo Road.

Agents along with deputies from the Marion County Sheriff's Office conducted traffic stops on the vehicles involved in the alleged transaction.

According to the press release, agents identified the suspects as Jerry Jerome Bell and Dodriqaez Olenta Weary.

Bell was found to be in possession of a .410 shotgun as well as the items that agents observed Weary transferring to him.

The items were found in two clear plastic bag as and contained a total of two pounds of marijuana.

The release stated that Weary was found to be in possession of one ounce of marijuana. 

A third suspect was detained and later released pending further investigation into the case.

Weary was charged with sale or transfer of a controlled substance and felony possession of a controlled substance.  Bell was charged with conspiracy to sale or transfer a controlled substance while in possession of a firearm and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute while in possession of a firearm.

According to the statement, County Justice Court Judge Gwen Broom set bond for both WEary and Bell at $75,000 each.
