Hattiesburg native Harold Jackson named JSU football head coach

Harold Jackson has been named Jackson State's new football head coach.

The Hattiesburg native and former Jackson State wide receiver had a 16-year NFL career where he was named to the Pro Bowl five times.

Jackson previously worked at Baylor University as the wide receivers coach for four seasons and has held multiple coaching positions in the NFL and collegiate ranks since his retirement from the NFL.

The announcement was made from the Mississippi Sports Hall Of Fame.
