Friday morning accident on I-59 in Hattiesburg injures four

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

A one car accident on I-59 in Hattiesburg injured four people Friday morning.

The accident happened around 10 a.m. on the southbound off ramp at exit 67 A. The driver of the vehicle lost control in the curve and left the road. The vehicle then tumbled down a steep embankment. The four  people, including an infant child, had to be extricated from the vehicle by rescue workers.

The injured were taken to a local hospital. The extent of their injuries is not known.

The vehicle had Lauderdale County plates.
