HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Area Development Partnership held its Second Friday breakfast at Southern Oaks and Gardens on Friday.
Usually held the first Friday of each month, members of the Area Development Partnership gathered for the month of January to hear from elected and appointed leaders on the growth and development of several counties and cities in the Pine Belt.
The business before hours program featured a "State of the Region" panel and group discussion on key areas of focus for 2014 in the Hattiesburg metropolitan area.
The panelists included Mayor of Hattiesburg Johnny DuPree, Mayor of Petal Hal Marx, Forrest County Board of Supervisors David Hogan, Lamar County Board of Supervisors Phillip Carlisle, and Perry County Board of Supervisors Tommy Wally.
Topics of discussion included project funding, taxes and the Eagle One Forrest-Lamar Mega Site.
