HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

A Hattiesburg business which has raised funds for local charities while helping customers reach their artistic goals hosted a special arts event Thursday night. A customer appreciation gathering at Hattiesburg's Painting with a Twist honored those who've helped raise funds for worthy causes during monthly Painting with a Purpose events.

Painting with a Twist gives folks a chance to improve their artistic skills in a relaxed group setting.

"The majority of folks that are here tonight with our customer appreciation are people who have booked a Painting with a Purpose previously with us," said James Crowder, owner of Painting with a Twist. "And we just wanted to honor them and give them a night here at our studio," he said.

Future fund-raising events will support the "Relay for Life" and the Hattiesburg AIDS Services Coalition.
