Army Helicopter makes emergency landing in Jones County cow pasture

JONES COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -

An army helicopter had to make an emergency landing in a cow pasture in Jones County Thursday afternoon.

The helicopter landed in a field at 25 Robert Adams Road in Laurel.

Sources said the four-man crew was not injured.

Witnesses at the scene were told a hydraulic leak forced the copter to make an emergency landing.

Parts were brought in from Meridian and from Camp Shelby, but did not solve the problem.

The copter will remain on the ground until further notice.
