Duck Dynasty TV star coming to Hattiesburg

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

Are you a big fan of the reality TV show Duck Dynasty? If so, you will soon have a chance to meet one of the stars from the show.

Uncle Si is coming to Hattiesburg. The TV star will be at Temple Baptist Church in Hattiesburg February 1 for a meet and greet. The event is put on by the organization Homes of Hope for Children. Each ticket purchased will help children in crisis. 100 percent of all proceeds will go to the organization.

“The proceeds from this event will go towards things like buying food for the kids here on campus, their clothes, their medical needs,” said Homes of Hope for Children Executive Director Michael Garrett. “It'll go to really the most basic needs that we have out here, paying utilities and things like that. These are kids that are coming from situations where they need our ministry not because of anything they've done wrong. They're coming from sometimes dysfunctional homes, sometimes they're coming from homes with addiction; sometimes they're coming from homes where a parent or guardian simply wants a better opportunity for their child.”

Tickets for the meet and greet can be purchased here. For group sales call 769-456-7021.
