Family displaced by house fire in Donelson

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

A family of seven is homeless after a huge fire destroyed their Donelson home Monday night.

The homeowner, Sean Webster, says they started noticing smoke and then fire coming from the basement of their home on the 2800 block of Glen Oaks Drive.

Eventually, the first floor collapsed.

The water in the fire hoses started freezing while firefighters worked to contain the blaze.

Everyone made it out safely, but the residents lost everything in the fire.

The family is staying with neighbors at this time and is receiving assistance from the Red Cross.
