First baby of new year born at Wesley Medical Center

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

A boy weighing 7 lbs., 8 ozs. is the first baby born in the Pine Belt in 2014.

Jer'koby Ja Dir Jervontae Rogers Gibson came into the world at 12:57 a.m. at Wesley Medical Center.

Both the baby and his parents, Martha Rogers, 23, and Jerrell Gibson, 21, are doing well.
