LEBANON, TN (WSMV) -

A Mt. Juliet woman has died after a crash Tuesday evening on Franklin Road in Wilson County.

Melissa Dickens, 48, was driving a 2000 Ford Windstar in the 7600 block of Franklin Road, near Central Pike, when the van left the road, struck a fence and overturned, according to the Tennessee Highway Patrol.

Dickens, who was not wearing a seat belt, was partially ejected.

THP investigators believe Dickens was driving at a high rate of speed, and alcohol may have been a factor.

The THP has requested a blood alcohol test as part of its investigation.

No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
