State Senator Chris McDaniel speaks out on Obama Care

State Senator Chris McDaniel stopped off at Bianchi's Pizzeria in Hattiesburg Monday to meet with supporters.

McDaniel is running for the U.S. Senate seat currently held by Thad Cochran. Recent poll numbers show him neck and neck with Cochran. McDaniel says he's not surprised and it just shows Mississippians are ready for change.

Weighing in on Obama Care says people aren't going to be able to afford it and he wants to see it repealed.

"This is what we were telling people before the legislation was passed," said McDaniel. "It's unstructurally sound and what you are going to see is sky rocking premiums for everybody in Mississippi."

McDaniel added this is not something the country needs at this time. He said instead of centralizing healthcare in Washington D.C., repeal it and give the control back to the states and the people where it belongs.
