COLUMBIA, SC (WIS) -

Gamecocks star defensive end Jadeveon Clowney was issued a $445 speeding ticket Thursday after being clocked going almost 30 miles over the speed limit.

In dash cam video obtained by WIS Friday, Clowney can be heard saying to a Columbia police officer "I've got to get to the stadium before they leave."

The officer stopped Clowney for going 84 mph in a 55 mph zone near downtown, Officer Jim Crawford with the Columbia Police Department told WIS.

"Sir, I'm about to be late," Clowney told the officer. "I've got like (inaudible) minutes."

Clowney was released and headed to Williams Brice Stadium where the team departed to Orlando for the Capital One Bowl.

"I tell ya he needs to go to driving school," USC Head Ball Coach Steve Spurrier told reporters Thursday outside of an Orlando hotel. "Somebody told me he got another speeding ticket today."

On Dec. 9, Clowney was also pulled over after going 110 mph in a 70 mph zone on Interstate 77 near Blythewood.

"At least he'll have enough money to pay for it a week or so from now, but yeah, he needs to go to driving school," Spurrier said. "Hopefully they'll send him there after the bowl game."

Clowney tweeted a picture Friday afternoon with two City of Orlando police officers, referring to them as "his boys."

Clowney was most recently named to the 2013 first team All-SEC squad by the Associated Press. He is expected to declare for the upcoming 2014 NFL Draft.

The Mississippi State Department of Health reported there are now 12 cases of West Nile Virus in our state Thursday morning. Although, every case is serious, that number pales in comparison, to the 247 cases in 2012. Still, you have to put a human face onto these figures to really know what this virus is capable of doing.
