High school basketball game evacuated after tornado warning in southern Indiana

CLARKSVILLE, IN (WAVE) – The Saturday evening tornado warning for parts of southern Indiana forced an evacuation of a high school basketball game.

The Clarksville vs. Jeffersonville basketball game was interrupted when fans had to take shelter while they waited for the severe weather to pass.

The Clarksville High School gym provided shelter and the game was delayed 15 minutes before the teams headed back to the court.

Clarksville beat Jeffersonville 63-45.
