The Southern Miss women's basketball team is a perfect 7-0 at home this season and they look to continue the streak tomorrow against the University of New Orleans.

The Black and Gold are coming off a 75-51 win against Grambling and are 4th in Conference USA in scoring at 78.2 points per game.

The team's leading scoring, junior forward Tamara Jones, leads the Lady Golden Eagles with 18.8 points per game and hauls in a team-high 7.6 rebounds per contest.

Head coach Joye Lee-McNelis spoke about the importance of her presence on the court.

"She's been a huge key for this team and particularly offensively. I mean she has improvements that she's got to make defensively, but offensively she just is basically kind of instant offense."

The Prosser, Washington native was humbled by her coach's praise.

"It means a lot and it shows that she has confidence in me. I just need to make sure that I keep it up and keep doing what I need to do to help the team out."

Tip-off against UNO is set for 1 p.m.
