It's not known if the lyrics to Jay-Z's "Picasso Baby" popped into Southern Miss head coach Todd Monken's head when he landed Oak Grove defensive back Picasso Nelson Jr., but it's safe to say he's "livin' life colossal" right now.
The senior signed his letter of intent to make his commitment to the Golden Eagles official this morning at the school's library.
Nelson Jr. is graduating early in order to start classes at Southern Miss in January and he feels it's time to help the black and gold get back to prominence.
"Southern [Miss] has great tradition and with me being so close to home I feed off my family and friends being able to see me play," Nelson Jr. said with his parent at his side.
"It being so close to home and having great tradition, I'm just excited about getting Southern Miss football back to the top."
