Police searching for gunman after fatal shooting on 12th Avenue South

NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) -

Metro police continue to search for the gunman who shot and killed a man Tuesday morning at an apartment in the Edgehill area.

Isaac Morris, 28, died after he was shot at his residence in the 1300 block of 12th Avenue South.

Investigators said the suspect came to see Morris at his apartment when gunshots were heard and the suspect then fled on foot carrying a black bag believed to have been taken from Morris' room.

Morris was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.

Police describe the suspect as a black man in his 20s, last seen wearing a pink collared shirt and blue jeans.

Anyone with information on this case is urged to call Crime Stoppers at 74-CRIME.
