(RNN) - It wasn't good enough that the Oregon State defense did something it hasn't accomplished in six years - they had to do a double take.

Rashaad Reynolds had himself a game, returning two fumbles for touchdowns in Tuesday's 38-23 win over Boise State in the Sheraton Hawai'i Bowl.

The Beavers had not had a fumble returned for a score since the 2007 season. They go into the offseason with a win after a five-game losing streak, while the Broncos got an extra sting after losing coach Chris Petersen to Washington.

There is no college football action on Christmas Day, but games resume on Thursday when Pittsburgh and Bowling Green play in the Little Caesars Bowl. Later that night Utah State and Northern Illinois face off in the San Diego County Poinsettia Bowl.

The season started off with a couple of tight games and a couple of blowouts over last weekend.

Louisiana-Lafayette clipped Tulane 24-21 in the New Orleans Bowl and Colorado State outpointed Washington State 48-45 in the Gildan New Mexico Bowl.

Southern Cal blasted Fresno 45-20 in the Royal Purple Las Vegas Bowl and San Diego State ran away from Buffalo 49-24 in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl.

East Carolina blew by Ohio in the final quarter to take a 37-20 win over Ohio in the Beef O'Brady's Bowl on Monday afternoon.

Bowl season wraps up on Jan. 6 with the Vizio BCS championship game from Pasadena, CA, featuring Florida State vs. Auburn. Vizio makes electronics.

Don't miss a thing, keep up with all the action. Check our timeline for game times, teams and broadcast entities – and payouts of each bowl game.
