Alabama defeats Charleston Southern 59-45

TUSCALOOSA, AL (RNN) – The Alabama Crimson Tide moved to 5-1 at home, winning against the Charleston Southern Buccaneers 59-45 on Saturday.

Despite only leading by one point at the end of the first half, Alabama (5-4) outscored the Bucs (3-5) by 13 points in the second half, including a 20-11 run.

Guard Retin Obasohan was the Tide's leading scorer with 22 points and nine rebounds and six steals. No other Alabama player scored in double-digits during the contest.

Alabama's leading scorer Trevor Releford did not start or play in the first half because of a hip injury.

The Crimson Tide will face No. 12 Wichita State in Tuscaloosa on Tuesday, Dec. 17.
