FAYETTEVILLE, AR (RNN) - After a close first half, Arkansas let loose in the second, beating Savannah State 72-43 at home on Thursday.

The Razorbacks (7-2) never led by more than five in the first half, and the Tigers (2-9) kept Arkansas scoreless for the first three minutes. Arkansas led 27-25 at the break but came back on the court strong, dominating by as much as 29 points and allowing only 18 in the second half.

The Razorbacks were without leading scorer Michael Qualls in the first half. Rashad Madden led Arkansas with 18 points and two steals.

The win extends Arkansas' home winning streak to 20 games. The Razorbacks will have the opportunity to make it 21 when they play the Tennessee-Martin Skyhawks on Thursday, Dec. 19.
