The South Mississippi Art Association will host its 37th annual Art Show and Sale at the Historic Train Depot in Downtown Hattiesburg December 14.

The show is held in conjunction with Downtown Hattiesburg's December Art Walk which allows the association members to submit their recent artworks to be judged by an outside, professional artist.  The judge this year will be Bay St. Louis artist Kat Fitzpatrick.

Awards are given in the categories of acrylic and oil, pastel and drawing, photography, watercolor, 2D and 3D sculpture and "other."

"Visitors will be amazed at the quality, variety and affordability of the artwork," said Georgia Kay Carter, SMAA Membership Chair.

Admission is free, all artwork is for sale, and the public is invited to view both juried and non-juried pieces all day from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm.
