LAUREL, MS (WDAM)
The largest Christmas parade in the state of Mississippi was held on Saturday in the City of Laurel.
The cold weather did not stop many residents from coming out and watching the Sertoma Christmas Parade Saturday morning. Children were able to see Santa Claus and even some snow. The parade began near Sawmill Square Mall and ran through the business district of downtown Laurel.
This year's parade theme was “God's Blessings at Christmas and included Jones County Lt. Tony Stiles as Grand Marshall.
Just like every year, the parade is held on the first Saturday of December.
