No. 3 Kentucky falls to No. 20 Baylor in second loss of season

The biggest upset in the Big 12-SEC Challenge occurred on Friday, when the No. 20-ranked Baylor Bears defeated the No. 3-ranked Kentucky Wildcats 67-62. ARLINGTON, TX (RNN) – The biggest upset in the Big 12-SEC Challenge occurred on Friday, when the No. 20-ranked Baylor Bears defeated the No. 3-ranked Kentucky Wildcats 67-62.

Kentucky (7-2) trailed early, by as many as nine in the first half, but rallied to a slim lead to end the first half. Kentucky's lead carried into the second half, but Baylor (8-1) turned the tables and grabbed a narrow lead with less than five minutes left thanks to a 15-5 run, and held on to it.

The Wildcats did have three players score in double figures, including freshman Julius Randle's 16 points and eight rebounds. Randle is averaging 18 points and 13 rebounds a game so far this season.

Freshman guard Aaron Harrison scored 15 points and added six assists to Kentucky's 19 total assists.

Kentucky's next game will be at home against the Boise State Broncos on Tuesday, Dec. 10.
