Mizzou to host West Virginia in Big 12/SEC Challenge

COLUMBIA, MO (RNN) - A former Big 12 team will take on that conference's newest member when Missouri hosts West Virginia on Thursday as part of the Big 12/SEC Challenge.

The Tigers (7-0), who left the Big 12 and joined the SEC in 2012, are one of the two remaining undefeated teams in the conference. They are coming off wins over Northwestern and Nevada in the Las Vegas Invitational.

Jordan Clarkson leads Mizzou with an average 19.4 points per game. Jabari Brown is right on his heels with an average 19.3 points per game.

The Mountaineers (6-2) left the Big East and joined the Big 12 in 2012. They are coming off a 96-47 win over Loyola (MD).

Eron Harris leads West Virginia with an average 20.3 points per game.

The game is part of the 2013 Big 12/SEC Challenge. The Big 12 leads 2-1 so far.

Tipoff at Mizzou Arena is at 7 p.m. ET and will air on ESPN2.
