Bama limps home to take on UNF

Alabama (3-3) returns home against Atlantic Sun opponent North Florida after losing both games in the NIT Season Tipoff in New York.

The Tide lost to Duke 74-64 in the semifinal then dropped a heartbreaker to Drexel 85-83 in triple OT in the consolation game. But Nick Jacobs was on a tear during the tourney, scoring 18 against the Blue Devils and 23 in the overtime game. Each was a new career high for the junior, who hit 65.5 percent of his shots in the tournament.

Trevor Releford continues to lead all Crimson Tide scorers with an average of 17.3 points per game, hitting more than 50 percent of his shots and a sizzling 14-of-34 from 3-point range.

Retin Obasohan averges 14.7 ppg, Nick Jacobs scores at an 11.3 clip, and Algie Key, who has hit 22-of-31 of his shots, averages 10.3 points per game.

The game begins a three-game road trip for the Ospreys, who are 5-4 after their home win over Edward Waters on Monday.

Leading scorer Travis Wallace had a season-high 20 points in that win – he averages just over 13 points per game.

The game will be broadcast live on CSS and ESPN3. Former Bama coach Wimp Sanderson will be the color man.
