Hub City Humane Society sponsoring Fur Baby Holiday Tree program

Fur Baby Holiday Trees have been put up in 11 veterinary clinics in Hattiesburg and Petal.

Similar to the angel tree program, the trees are decorated with ornaments that folks know what they can purchase to donate to the Hub City Humane Society. Items range from cleaning supplies, treats, toys, and many other items that it takes to care for the animals at the shelter.

"Mu cohort is Bonnie McNair and she and I will be going around once  a week to all the clinics checking the trees," said Dawn Gillis. "People can take the ornaments off the trees and take them home to fulfill the need on the ornament. Then bring what they bought to the vets office and leave it under the tree."

The trees will remain at the vet's office through the first of the year.
