No. 11 Gonzaga defeats Arkansas at Maui Invitational

Arkansas took sixth place out of eight in the Maui Invitational tournament after the Razorbacks lost to No. 11 Gonzaga. Arkansas took sixth place out of eight in the Maui Invitational tournament after the Razorbacks lost to No. 11 Gonzaga.

MAUI, HI (RNN) - Arkansas never grabbed the lead over No. 11 Gonzaga, falling 91-81 on the last day of the EA Sports Maui Invitational.

The Razorbacks (4-2) led in free throws, making 15 of their 19 compared to the Bulldogs' (6-1) 19 of 27. But Arkansas has issues with 3-point shots, making four of their 21 attempts. Gonzaga made 12 of 20 3-pointers.

Bobby Portis led the Razorbacks with 18 points and seven rebounds.

During the previous games in the tournament, Arkansas lost to California 85-77 in the first round but defeated Minnesota 87-73 in the second round. With the loss to Gonzaga in the third round, the Razorbacks took sixth place out of eight overall in the tournament.

    The City of Hattiesburg warned its residents about an email scam making its rounds on Tuesday.  "Today, a Hattiesburg resident made city officials aware of an email scam regarding parking tickets," read the email from the city.  All tickets issued by Hattiesburg's Parking Division are paper and will not be delivered electronically, according to city clerk Kermas Eaton.
