Santa for a Senior program kicks off at Turtle Creek Mall

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

The Be a Santa for a Senior program kicked off Tuesday afternoon with the lighting of the tree.

Home Instead Senior Care is once again teaming up with area non-profit agencies and local retailers to sponsor this year's campaign. The program collects, wraps, and delivers gifts to seniors who otherwise might be overlooked during the holidays. The tree, that has more than 100-ornaments that contain the names of area seniors, is located near the food court.

Gifts should be dropped off unwrapped at the Home Instead Senior Care on Oak Grove Road by Dec. 16. The gifts will be distributed on Dec. 18.
