Columbia Family affected by Philipinnes' Typhoon

COLUMBIA, MS (WDAM) - A Philippines native living in Columbia with her husband fears for her family's safety.

Aireen Joy White is from Teacloban, Philippines which was one of the hardest areas hit by the recent typhoon.

White says her mother, father, 3 sisters and their children all remain in the devastated town. White says she has been in contact with one of here sisters who informed Aireen and her husband Paul that the family is stranded and unable to evacuate. White says relief efforts in the way of food and medicine has not reached her family, and with no electricity, supplies, and the threat of looting, Aireen worries constantly about here family's safety.
