Margaret Ann Morgan is a native of McComb, MS and a graduate of the University of Mississippi, where she received a Bachelors of Arts in journalism with an emphasis in public relations and a minor in public policy leadership.

With a longtime interest in policy, Margaret Ann covers Hattiesburg and Forrest County government as well as statewide education policy. She was recently named 2013 Best Television Reporter for the Mississippi Associated Press Broadcasters and is part of the team that won MAPB's Best Investigative Reporting.

Margaret Ann is also a recipient of the distinguished Robert F. Kennedy Journalism Award for her work in San Pedro, Belize, where she and a group produced a depth-report magazine and five-day television series on the San Mateo Empowerment Project. She also received the Society of Professional Journalists' Best Breaking News award for her work on the Mississippi Gulf Coast during Hurricane Isaac and the Best Multimedia Reporter for the Southeastern Journalism Conference.

When she's not on-air, Margaret Ann enjoys running, traveling and cheering on the Ole Miss Rebels.
