LONGVIEW, TX (KLTV) -

Longview Police arrested two men on charges of marijuana possession and burglary of vehicles.

The two suspects were arrested overnight after a stop by a Longview Police officer. The pair struck during the time period that the victims were at an area high school football game.

The suspects have been identified as 18-year-old Maxim Espana and 18-year-old Maximiliano Jiminez.

"We received a call for a vehicle burglary that had already occurred," says Longview police officer Kristie Brian.

Several vehicles were broken into and many items were stolen.
Wildwood residents say this has happened many times before.
A homeowner had video surveillance set up on his property, and captured the pair in the act of burglarizing cars.

"By being able to have a description of the suspects and the homeowner calling as soon as they did we were able to locate them quickly," Brian says.

The video helped police identify the pairs' vehicle , and an officer stopped them shortly after.

"The vehicle they were in was a blue hummer. they were in possession of several items that had been stolen in a couple vehicle of as well as marijuana," says Brian.

Jimenez is charged with possession or marijuana, burglary of a vehicle, reckless driving, evading arrest and assault against a public servant. His bonds total over 100-thousand dollars.

Espana is charged with possession of marijuana and burglary of a vehicle. His bonds total over 20-thousand dollars.

Both were booked into the Gregg County Jail Saturday morning.
