A Hillsdale man is behind bars facing several charges after two early morning break-ins in Lumberton.
Sean Lancaster, 27, allegedly broke into the home of an elderly man who is confined to a wheelchair at around 3 a.m. Thursday morning.
He then broke into the NAPA Auto Parts store on Main Street by smashing out the window. While in the store, authorities say he did considerable damage to the interior and hid in the store for several hours.
When someone came to open the store in the morning Lancaster came out of hiding and stole the woman's purse before fleeing. Lumberton police were able to capture him a short time later.
Lancaster is being held in the Lamar County Jail facing multiple charges to include commercial and residential burglary, abuse of a vulnerable adult, and impersonating a police officer.
