    Four suspects were arrested Thursday during an attempt to commit a crime at the South Mississippi Correctional Institution. According to prison officials, officers responded to a fence alarm around 5 a.m., July 31, 2014, at the SMCI campus located in Leakesville, MS where officers found two packages. HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

A suspect is sought for stealing 16 iPads and a Macbook laptop from the Hattiesburg High School Library last week.

The break-in happened last Wednesday, October 16 between 6 p.m. and 6 a.m. The iPads, which are valued at approximately $11,000, were inside the computer cart where they are stored when not in use by students and teachers.

Hattiesburg Schools Police Officer Tony Davis says the iPads and laptop have tracking devices on them and will activate when turned on.
