Seminary in the dark after morning power outage

Seminary residents are left in the dark after a city-wide power outage this morning.

According to Mississippi Power, a transformer went out at 8 a.m. just outside of Seminary. Crews are currently at the plant working to restore power.

According to Chief of Police Michael Kelly, power was restored at 11:30 a.m.

Mayor Billy Karolyi said that the power will be off again between midnight and 2 a.m. while Mississippi Power crews work on the substation.
