First Lady of Mississippi speaks to Rotary Club of Laurel

The Rotary Club of Laurel hosted the First Lady of Mississippi, Deborah Bryant, on Tuesday at the Laurel Country Club.  Good food and laughter were shared among the guests as the First Lady recalled some of the most touching and rewarding moments she has experienced.  She also spoke about being Mississippi's First Lady, emphasizing how blessed she feels to be able to make a difference through her platform.

Her platform consists of the acronym, HOMES.  H is for healthcare, something that is very important to Mrs. Bryant after working in the industry for 39 years.  O stands for outdoors.  "The state parks are just phenomenal in our state and I'm trying to get people, as families, to get outdoors more," says the First Lady.

M is for mansion and involves the governor's mansion and the responsibility it entails.  It also stands for military.  E represents education, another passion of the First Lady's.

Deborah Bryant proudly represented Community Bank at the Rotary Club event, reminding folks that she's a "working First Lady."  She was thrilled to be able to get out in the community and visit some of Laurel's local businesses.

"There are just so many opportunities.  I could go on for days..." says Deborah Bryant.  And she is certainly doing all she can to take advantage of these opportunities.
