SCOTTSDALE, AZ (CBS5) -

Danica Patrick is hoping to look powerful in pink when she gets behind the wheel of her No. 10 Chevrolet that sports a bright pink paint scheme instead of its familiar GoDaddy green.

Patrick and her GoDaddy sponsor have changed the looks of her car in the name of breast cancer awareness as she gears up to run in NASCAR's Hollywood Casino 400 Sunday in Kansas City.

Patrick will drive the pink No. 10 Chevy and wear a pink fire suit for all four of her October races in the fight against breast cancer, according to GoDaddy.

GoDaddy is teaming with the Public Interest Registry to donate $50,000 to the National Breast Cancer Foundation and will donate a portion of merchandise sales at Patrick's NASCAR trailer through October, according to a GoDaddy news release.

In addition, proceeds from purchases made through GoDaddy's "Round-up" for charity program, where customers round up their purchase to the nearest dollar, will go to the foundation.

Patrick won't be alone in her racing pink colors this weekend. GoDaddy driver James Hinchcliffe will drive a pink version of his No. 27 Chevrolet in this weekend's Shell and Pennzoil Grand Prix of Houston on Saturday and Sunday, according to the release.

The fight against breast cancer hits close to home for GoDaddy CEO Blake Irving, whose mother is the longest-surviving breast cancer patient in New Mexico, according to the release.

"My mom is an amazing woman, who not only is surviving breast cancer, but is thriving, living an active lifestyle and giving a lot of inspiration to the people she meets," Irving said. "Our commitment to the cause right now at GoDaddy is to stand up and do our part financially, but also to inspire more people to join the fight against breast cancer."
