(RNN) - The perception of firefighters over the last decade has gone from cliche to epic - from pulling cats out of trees to becoming unofficial ambassadors for the entire country.

One man's giant actions for a small creature only boosted respect for the profession.

"Firefighter Kalanick," as he is known on YouTube, did something most other people consider above and beyond by reviving a kitten during a house fire.

Warning: the video will yank your heart strings totally out of place.

It's not graphic, it's just a tad bit shocking if your'e younger than 12 or have never been told (spoiler alert!) animals in the wild eat other animals.

It is totally possible (and highly likely) this video is a fake, but 4.3 million people and counting don't seem to care.

So if you're a fan, we're sorry. Please explain again, though. Why are you still a fan?
