Woman, 35, killed in Apache Junction fire

APACHE JUNCTION, AZ (CBS5) -

An Arizona man has lost his bride-to-be in a tragic house fire in Apache Junction.

The Apache Junction Fire Department Deputy Chief Dave Montgomery said a 35-year-old woman died from a blaze early Friday morning while in her home on Saguaro Drive.

Firefighters found the victim in the kitchen and she was taken to Banner Goldfield Hospital with severe smoke inhalation and later died.

Montgomery said investigators believe the fire started on the mattress in a bedroom.

She lived at the home with her fiance who was working at the time.

Montgomery said investigators believe it was an accidental fire.
