Not in her wildest dreams did Alison Callihan think she would win this year's St. Jude Dream Home. When notified she asked "Where exactly is it?"
In fact, Alison was taking a full day of rest in her pajamas.
"I just need a little bit of time to get ready if that's ok," she said.
Alison apparently gets ready pretty quickly -- she beat the keyholder to the house.
Being the Dream Home winner is not the only overwhelming news Alison and her husband, Scotty, have gotten recently.
"My husband and I just recently got married and just found out we're expecting so it's a great place for a growing family, so I'm real excited," Alison said.
Both Alison and Scotty are nurses at St. Dominic's Hospital, and he was at work when he found out about the Dream Home. He was with a patient when he was told he had an emergency call.
"So I told them I had to leave the room, gave her a call and she was screaming. I didn't know what was going on. I thought something had happened to the baby. Then I finally got a couple of words and she said she won the house. I didn't know if this was some sort of sick joke or what," Scotty said.
Alison bought the dream home ticket the first day they went on sale and never thought about it again. She didn't even know where the house was or what it looked like.
"We never expected to win anything. We just bought a ticket and wanted to donate to St. Jude." Alison said. "This is crazy."
