Dubard School hosts annual dyslexia symposium

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) - Parents and teachers shined a spotlight on dyslexia during a symposium on Wednesday.

More than 150 individuals from throughout the Southeast Region to Hattiesburg took part in the 17th Annual Dyslexia Symposium to learn more on dyslexia in Mississippi and related disorders.

Hosted by the University of Southern Mississippi's Dubard School for Language, the 2-day event, located at the Thad Cochran Center, gives parents and teachers the opportunity to learn more about experiencing dyslexia, managing stress and more.

The symposium will continue on Thursday from 8:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
