House burglary suspect caught after crash, manhunt

HINDS COUNTY, MS (Mississippi News Now) -

Hinds County authorities say a suspected house burglar is behind bars after leading deputies on a chase and crashing his vehicle.

Deputies responded to a house burglary in the 1100 block of Green Gable Drive in Terry Wednesday afternoon.

Authorities say Mason Davis led deputies on a high-speed case, made a wrong turn, lost control of his pick-up truck and hit a tree. Davis then reportedly jumped out of his vehicle at Old Jackson and Midway roads and took off running.

Davis was eventually captured in a nearby wooded area.
