CAMP SHELBY, MS (WDAM) -

A motorist was sent to the hospital Tuesday afternoon after her car wrecked on Highway 49 north of Camp Shelby.

Details are incomplete, but emergency responders at the scene said the driver of a silver Kia Sorento was taken to the hospital around noon, after her car flipped over in a wooded median, just north of the North Gate Military Surplus store.

Emergency responders at the scene said the victim's injuries apparently were not life-threatening and could have been worse, had she not been wearing her seat belt.
