Two Jones County girls allegedly attacked while owner watched

JONES COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -

Two Jones County girls are recovering after allegedly being attacked by two large dogs on a Jones County Road.

Jessica Duhon, 15, and her friend Madison Welch said they were walking along Garrick Road when Welch got thirsty and knocked on someone's door to ask for water.

The girls said the owner of the house let the dogs loose on them.

They say the owner watched while they screamed for help.

Meanwhile, Welch's mother, Annette Stewart said something needs to be done.

The owner of the dogs was not willing to comment on the incident. No other witnesses agreed to be interviewed.
