Rededication ceremony held for 28th Infantry Division

A rededication ceremony was held Monday at Camp Shelby at the site of the 28th Infantry Divisions headquarters during World War II.

The ceremony was held to celebrate the heritage of the "Keystone Division" who welcomed home the "Iron Soldiers" of the division from the war zone.

The recent deployment of the 55th Heavy Brigade combat team marks the third time in recent history for members of the 28th to deploy from Camp Shelby.

The division is the oldest serving division in the army.
