WDAM Viewpoint- Welcome back

Hello, I am Joe Sciortino, Vice President and General Manager of WDAM.

Many of you were affected by the recent disruption of our signal on the DISH Network. As you know by now, we are back on the DISH system.

We know this has been an inconvenience for you and your family. We want to thank you for your patience and above all your loyalty.

Many of you called and emailed us. Others posted comments on our Facebook page. We had the pleasure of speaking or corresponding with many of you. Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us and express your support and concerns.

WDAM has served this community for over 57 years and our commitment to you is stronger than ever.

We take great pride in being your source for entertainment, local news, sports and weather in the Pine Belt.

    After losing the first two games of the season by a combined five points, Collins has won 12 consecutive games to advance to the class 2A South State title. The Tigers (12-2) defeated Bay Springs 22-8 on Friday to advance to a south state matchup against Taylorsville (13-1). Collins scored twice in the fourth quarter to overcome the Bulldogs on the road. "I feel great," said Collins head coach Eric Booth, a former USM running back.
