Hattiesburg expo celebrates women in the Pine Belt

HATTIESBURG, MS (WDAM) -

The 3rd Annual Pine Belt Women's Expo was held Saturday.

Dozens of women attended the event and enjoyed food sampling, browsed informational booths, shopped, and even received a massage.

Attendees also were able to give back to the community by donating blood and also donating pet supplies and food to the Hub City Humane Society.

Produced by Emerge Events, the local event planning company says they do events like these to not only celebrate women in the Pine Belt, but to also show them what the community has to offer.

“A lot of women typically don't stop and it's a good time to just come out with your girlfriends and have a day that's just for you to come out and relax," said owner of Emerge Events, Jennifer Clark.

The next event produced by Emerge Events will be Kidsburg, which will be held august 24 at the Forrest County Multi Purpose Center.
