More rain and flash flood watches for western Carolinas

GREENVILLE, SC (FOX Carolina) -

A flash flood watch continues for much of the Upstate until 6 a.m. on Friday, according to FOX Carolina chief meteorologist Kendra Kent.

Kent said showers and heavy storms will be possible through Thursday night and into early Friday morning.

The storms could bring heavy downpours, which may cause quick flooding.

On top of that, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) is predicting an active hurricane season. Kent said we could end up with some record rain through the fall if the tropics heat up and affect the Carolinas.

Kent said the best chance of seeing rain will be in western North Carolina on Thursday night.
