Perry Co. authorities investigating body found in Black Creek

PERRY COUNTY, MS (WDAM) -

The Perry County Sheriff's Department is awaiting the results of an autopsy to determine the cause of death of a man whose body was found floating in Black Creek Tuesday.

Authorities were led to the scene by someone that is now a person of interest in the investigation.

Police say that person of interest was arrested on a different charge Friday after driving the dead man's car under the influence. The man found dead on Tuesday had been reported as missing to Pascagoula authorities over the weekend.
